SELECTED WORK / SOFTWARE PRODUCT ENGINEERING
Turning analysis into decisions people can act on.
Confidential internal product initiative · Data visualization · Product engineering
The challenge
Specialist analytical work can produce valuable information that is difficult for leaders to evaluate quickly. The challenge was to bridge technical analysis and the context required for informed operational and strategic decisions.
My responsibility
I conceived and guided an internal decision-support and visualization initiative, connecting product thinking, software engineering, analytics, and executive stakeholder needs. The emphasis was on usability and clarity rather than exposing raw analytical output.
Approach
- Defined the needs of intended decision-makers and the questions the experience should help answer.
- Translated analytical findings into more accessible, organized presentations.
- Prioritized clarity, consistency, and maintainable product design.
- Worked across technical and business disciplines to align the interface with the decisions it supported.
Outcome
Delivered an internal decision-support capability intended to make analytical information more actionable. The product name, interface designs, underlying implementation, private datasets, usage figures, and other proprietary elements are intentionally withheld.
What the experience demonstrates
A decision-support product is more than a collection of charts. Useful products help an audience distinguish meaningful evidence from noise while understanding the context of the information presented.
